Coronavirus antibody test
Where does the analysis come from?
The IgG antibody test for SARS-CoV-2 is taken from venous blood and analyzed in a laboratory
What does a positive result show?
A positive result, antibody levels greater than 50 kU / L, indicates a body response to coronary infection or vaccination against SARS-CoV-2
What does the numerical value of the antibodies indicate?
Based on the amount of antibodies, it is not possible to say how much the body is able to protect against the virus. It can be assumed that the higher the amount of antibodies, the greater the protection, but there is no definite knowledge of how much is sufficient for protection.
When to take the test?
It makes sense to test for antibodies more than three weeks after being infected or vaccinated with a coronavirus
