FLU and COVID-19 VACCINATION
Free for risk groups!

Influenza is a viral disease that spreads during the autumn-winter period of colds, the course of which can be very difficult – getting sick or developing serious complications can be prevented or the course of the disease can be eased by vaccination.

Take care of your colleagues – the more employees there are who are vaccinated against the flu,
the less likely it is to spread the flu virus and get sick.

Who should get vaccinated?

We recommend getting vaccinated against the flu for all people at work,
in addition especially to those who:

  • are employees in large companies,
  • communicate directly with many customers,
  • travel a lot – often stay at airports, ports, for example
  • work in children’s institutions, schools or healthcare institutions,
  • suffer from a chronic disease or suffer from frequent colds

Flu risk group (free)

60 years old and older (see more at vaccina.ee )

COVID-19 risk group (free)

60 years and older and certain diseases (see more at vaccina.ee )

When to vaccinate?

Vaccination against the flu is done once a year , preferably between September and December, because then the post-vaccination immune protection can develop in time.

Protection against the influenza virus occurs up to 14 days after vaccination, and the protective effect lasts from autumn to spring.

The influenza virus is a rapidly changing virus. Every year, new vaccines are created based on the predicted strains of the flu virus. This season, 4-component vaccines are in use, which protect against the most common strains of influenza A and B.

This season’s vaccines:

  • Influvac Tetra
  • Vaxigrip Tetra

Which is not an obstacle to vaccination

  • fever< 38.5ºC;
  • antibiotic treatment;
  • topical (used on the skin) hormone therapy, i.e. local corticosteroid therapy;
  • asthma, eczema, atopy, hay fever;
  • contact with an infectious patient (for example, a flu patient);
  • it is not known whether or what the person has been vaccinated against.

When not to vaccinate

  • fever> 38.5ºC;
  • a previous hypersensitivity reaction to any component of the flu vaccine;
  • previous strong allergic reaction to egg white;
  • previous allergic reaction to formaldehyde.
