We may all experience anxiety from time to time. For example, anxiety may increase before you make an important decision or take an exam, or when you resolve a stressful situation at work. Anxiety usually disappears when the situation is resolved. When a person has an anxiety disorder, however, the anxiety does not go away and gets worse over time. The symptoms of anxiety can interfere with daily activities at work, school or home.
